An updated layout for Ralivue.com has been added to the site.

Fabriq has been released and is available for download on SourceForge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/fabriq/ and the documentation is available at http://docs.fabriqframework.com/ (please note that the docs are still a work in progress).

The Fabriq website has been started at http://fabriqframework.com/. You can also follow updates on the framework on Twitter by following @fabriqframework.

hot4header: The new universal base layout was rolled out to hot4headers.com in the past week. The layout on hot4headers looks much like this one but with colors and graphics to match that site's layout. Also, the hot4headers logo has been update to match the Ralivue logo type.

Fabriq: Fabriq is coming along quickly. The most recent updates the current version of the framework (which Ralivue is running) include moving base functions to an abstract class, moving MySQL database connection from PHP's mysql to mysqli extension, and the ability to use prepared statements. Fabriq as also given it's Twitter page at http://twitter.com/fabriqframework. Follow the Twitter account for updates on progress and news about when a version will be released to the public.

Ralivue: The homepage has been updated to pull in the Twitter feeds for both hot4headers and Fabriq.

The new layout for the Ralivue sites has been rolled out to Ralivue.com. The new standard layout will feature basic parts of the layout that will be standard across each site in the Ralivue network of sites and have color and graphic highlights to match the individual sites. The tweaks for hot4headers.com are in the works now and that will be rolled out shortly.

My Facebook Share module for Drupal (version 6) is now available at http://drupal.org/project/facebookshare. This handy little module allows you to add the Facebook Share button to the node types you select in your Drupal websites.

Fabriq is finally at a stage where it can be tested for bugs, issues, and security. Hopefully at some point in the next few months I will have a version ready for people to start playing with. I'm going to create a page for it soon on here with just some basic info.

For those who are curious, yes this site is built with the most recent version :)

2010 is here and I've been pretty busy. So far this year I've gotten hot4headers.com moved over to Drupal and have begun completely refining and redesigning Fabriq.

Fabriq is off to a good start with the ORM (Object Relational Mapping) piece ready to go. This refinement combines the Model and Collection functionality into one base class which cuts down the final number of files for a Fabriq based project. Once I get Fabriq to a point where I'm ready to release it, I'll begin working on [codename] Screenz which will be a different take on CMS that won't get too advanced (at least at first).

Some more cleaning has finally been accomplished on the website. I have cleaned up the look and finally added some screenshots and a little more detail on the portfolio page.

With regards to Fabriq, I'm still working on that and don't think I will have a version ready to be displayed anytime soon because I have been doing a lot with learning the Drupal CMS (Content Management System). I'm hoping to learn Drupal well enough to move hot4headers.com to Drupal. Making this move will help me in keeping the site updated a little better. Moving to Drupal will also help integrate future projects that I have in mind that will be related to hot4headers.com

2010 is almost here so happy new year!

So surprisingly, a few people have asked about the state Fabriq is in. I am definitely still working on it and it's a project that I want to eventually make available to whomever wants to use it.

I am still creating a UI for it. I currently have a prototype level version written in Flex that runs on Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime). While I still want to run it on AIR to make it cross-platform, I'm going to be rewriting it as an AJAX based AIR application because I feel that I can manage it a lot easier and develop it much faster with my XHTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery skills. I also would like to completely redevelop the layout of the app as well and my existing skills in web design/development/programming are much stronger than my Flex skills.

I'm hoping to have a preview release of the current state of just the Fabriq framework with possibly a few tweaks ready to go before the end of the year. I would like to have a version of the Fabriq UI available sometime in the first half of 2010.

Well, there have been so many projects that I've been working on that poor Ralivue.com has been getting neglected :(

As I slowly gain more time (a bit is coming along soon), I'll be adding more to it. I thought that the site needed a development blog.
